America's Pasttime

This was my first ever video editing project that I created using Adobe Premiere Pro software. We were given a few pieces of video and different pictures and we had to edit them and embed them into our videos. With these pictures, we had to learn how to do close ups on the picture itself and make you see the picture from a completely different angle. This being my first ever project through video editing, I learned the basics of editing video and this is what I want to do when I get older. Now having finished this project, it got my feet wet for the first time on how to properly edit videos. There will definitely be more to come.

Here is my finished project:
This is my second video editing project where I had to use multiple cameras at multiple different angles in order to create the masterpiece you see before you. The second lime around was a lot simpler because I'm now more aware and qualified to use and try and master Adobe Premiere Pro. Throughout class, we have learned how to embed different soundtracks and transitions between videos and pictures in order to make our videos look more professional and appealing to those who are watching. This type of work is what I want to do as a career in the sports world, so I feel I'm just at the tip of the iceberg when it comes to mastering video editing.

Here is my finish product:

Storyboard

This was one of the more difficult parts of the project because you basically have to come up with your entire project on this piece if paper, not knowing what the heck you want to even start off with. After not knowing what to put into my project at first, once I was able to use the cameras and see the footage that I shot, it became much clearer on what I wanted to put into this video and what order I wanted it in. Now having done this once, I can definitely say that I will continue to use storyboarding because it helped me organize this project. I'm a very visual person and seeing this as I broke down my video helped me out a lot. Not having to do the project off of the top of my head helped me out exponentially and I will be using this method for the rest of my projects.

Basball: America's Pasttime example

This video is just a small example of what I will be doing with my larger project that involves interviews with myself, my partner/classmate, and the great Dr. Nichols himself the creator of the exhibit. The main focus of this example is tho just learn the basics of how to work with Adobe Pro Premium. What Adobe Pro does is it allows one to be able to create what ever kind of video they want and edit the video itself in order to create what you want your audience to see or learn. Step-by-step you learn how to add the video and then edit the it, whether you want to zoom in or zoom out at any certain point, create a transition from one picture or video to another, or simply add audio. This video itself though, is only a small part of what I will be creating in my main project about Star Trek and how their technology has come to life and is now apart of our everyday lives.

The Ryan Brothers in Buffalo

As a Bills fan, I don't know whether to be excited.... Or very very worried!

Overview of Pat Sheridan

Hello,

My name is Pat Sheridan and I am currently enrolled at Limestone College and trying to find a career in the sports industry as a journalist or analyst. The sport that has been my first love ever since I was old enough to play was football. I play lacrosse in college, but that's only because I wasn't big enough to play football in college (I would've been the Rudy of the Limestone Football team). I am writing this for my CM 412 class, which will help me adapt to this new world of constant blogging and new technology that will enhance both the way we see and play sports. I'm excited to see what my career will turn out to be because I have known what I've wanted to pursue as my career ever since my first appearance at an NFL football game. I'm excited to see how this class will enhance my skills as a journalist and learn all I can before I head out into the "real world" and begin my career.
